Making children's hearts light up - these are the wonderful, enriching experiences that make us feel that every effort and commitment is so worthwhile. Together with Karen, a person of the heart, I travelled to the emergency shelters in Usingen and Neu-Anspach today, which look after refugees from Ukraine.
We had lots of great cuddly toys in our luggage that kind donors had previously given us for the children there. We were also able to distribute care and hygiene products thanks to numerous donations.
The joy in the children's eyes when they embraced the cuddly toys was touching and simply wonderful to see!
