Do you actually know the Casa Zwermann ? This is the enchanting sanctuary in Usingen-Wernborn, which I recently visited with our intern Sophia and Karen Sander. We are all still blown away by the furry hearts so lovingly cared for by Claudia and Uli Zwermann.
There is a lot to discover on the farm, as many animals have found their dream home here that didn't have it so good in their previous lives or could no longer stay.
For example, the Zwermanns are home to Owambo goats, which are very rare to find here - they actually come from Africa - that look on their faces...to fall in love with. Camels, llamas, alpacas, horses, pigs, peacocks and other small animals and birds are also allowed to reside here.
We particularly enjoyed the impressive and very sweet Poitou donkeys, which are an endangered breed. Of course, dogs and cats are also a must at the Gnadenhof, so you can imagine - we were in absolute cuddly bliss!
We are so enthusiastic about what Uli and Claudia do for the animals that we would like to support them - because such a good home and so many hungry fur and feather*hearts need a lot of food and the costs are very high in addition to all the work.
