Last Friday we celebrated the end of our medieval summer camp. The sun even made an appearance and the weather fortunately played along again.
First of all, we would like to say a huge thank you to the City of Schleiden and Mayor Ingo Pfennings for the wonderful new location and for saying „come and visit us anytime“ – because it is for has become such a cherished tradition for all of us.
The children put on a fantastic performance on the day and were able to show their families everything they had learnt and practised at camp. Whether it was archery, jousting, felting, pottery or dancing, the camp programme was very varied. You could really see how the children had come out of their shells and grown together over the week.
True to the motto: “Teamwork makes the dream work!“
Of course, there was no shortage of fun – even when cooking.
The songs learned from Fabulix were performed with perfect lyrics!

As always, Fabulix the storyteller and her team, together with RebeccaMarcel Müller and Gaby Hammer organised two wonderful weeks of summer camp. Thank you, you super angels!
Many thanks also to Gemünd Primary School for their excellent cooperation.
Together with Children's aid organisation Global-Care Foundation we were able to bring joy to a total of 164 children and give them a little holiday break from their everyday lives. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made the medieval summer camp in Schleiden 2023 possible.
Yours Klaudia Skodnik and the Fortuna helps team
