The surviving Flut fur*hearts are quite hungry and still very thin. Their former home has been destroyed and is empty. The lovely neighbour has taken care of them, even though she herself is badly damaged by the flood. Unfortunately, she can't afford the food and vet fees. We have already spoken to the vet in the neighbourhood and as soon as the adult animals have gained another 1.5 kg, they can be neutered according to the vet.
The Little ones still need some time to gain weight and grow before they are neutered. However, worming and other basic care are necessary.
We have already been in contact with the neighbouring animal shelters to see if they might be able to help, but due to the flood disaster they are overrun with requests that they cannot cope with. We already suspected this, as it was similar for us after the flood. The beloved pet could no longer be cared for because there was no money left to cover the additional vet and food costs. Every cent must go towards reconstruction, otherwise people and animals will be homeless.
Thanks to Petra Zipp for the first donation of food to keep the little tummies full for the next few days and for the fact that we can provide cheap litter trays.
