Our kids from the Gemünd painting circus had a really great holiday at the Hellenthal bird of prey station & wildlife enclosure last week. In autumnal 8 degrees and sunshine, there were exciting things to discover. In the wildlife enclosure, it is possible to experience the animals up close and spend time with them. Attention and, above all, mindfulness were required. Reflecting on our behaviour when interacting with the animals was very instructive and laid the foundation for mutual understanding. Created trust. Giving food lovingly also helped a little. 
The children had so much fun meeting the fur and feather friends - many thanks to our fantastic carers who made it possible to spontaneously put together such a wonderful holiday programme.
