The first shadow theatre workshop ended yesterday. The group was able to take part in shadow theatre for two days. Natalie Reuscher explained how the children could organise the workshop:
"There are different forms of shadow theatre: one is to depict the figures with the hand, the other with figures on a stick or with the whole body.
The children decided on two variants: the figures on the stick and the Performance with the body. In the first piece, "Sleeping Beauty", the children put on quite a dynamic show, accompanied by their own singing.
In the second piece, "Hansel and Gretel", the self-made figures were used on a stick. The children used natural materials from the painting circus as a further element of the performance. For example, a shashlik skewer and a chestnut were turned into a magic wand.
Or an impressive shade tree from collected branches.
The second piece was also accompanied by their own singing, which was pure goose bumps!
Many thanks to Rene Feldmann, who organised this workshop brilliantly."
Finally, there was a great performance for the parents - thanks to our painting circus team and to the angels from Feldmann's Puppenspiel, who have been our guests so often and always make children's eyes light up with their programme.
