Yesterday was the second day of the first Christmas pottery workshop at Malzirkus Ahrweiler. Our dear Natalie Reuscher says: "On the first day, the main focus was on kneading, rolling out and moulding. Today it was all about adding colour - combining, mixing and applying colours.
It's not that easy, but the children did it with great dedication.
As there was still some room for manoeuvre later on, the The children even got to work with the clay. The angels, stars and all the other creative shapes were painted, trees were created and even a lizard with teeth!
We can't wait to see what the colour looks like after firing.
Firing intensifies the colours many times over.
During the break, the children wanted our "SuperMario obstacle lava course" again
The best compliment was that one of the children has now discovered pottery as a career for himself."
We are looking forward to seeing the kids' fantastic work.
