The pupils of the Marienschule Euskirchen have come up with a wonderful idea to support children in the flood-affected areas in Slovenia.
They researched and prepared Slovenian baking recipes entirely on their own initiative. In return for a donation, the lovingly prepared treats could then be savoured on a day of action about Slovenia. The pupils donated the proceeds of an incredible €800.00 to our Slovenia aid organisation for benefit a school.
But that was not all, because they also wrote very personal letters of hope to the affected children there, in which they gave them kind, encouraging words with a great deal of confidence.
We are so touched that the young people came up with this fantastic idea to help others. Thank you so much, helpers*angels, for your great heartfelt help and to the great teachers who supported their students.
Special thanks go to Kai Imsande from the Citizens' association Odendorf e.V.that brought us together.
It will be a great pleasure for me to hand over the letters personally.
Yours Klaudia Skodnik and the Fortuna helps team
