The Ahrtal kids had some really great developments to marvel at at the weekend. The dark season was chased away and great relief could be felt. 
Our dear Heike Holz tells you about it: "There have just been report cards at school, not every young person was happy with the results and themselves, but the pressure is off for now. After breakfast and the discussion round, we grabbed the group and went out into nature. With the horses we noticed how relaxed the atmosphere was between humans and animals. So take the horses, get moving and enjoy the sun! There was hardly anything for Vera and me to support. The youngsters remembered everything they had learnt, just like in a textbook. It was an absolute WoW effect! 
The immune system of many of the children in our care is currently completely out of balance. In the case of stressed children, there is another cause in addition to the known reasons: It also has to do with the constant tension and the high level of stress to which the body is exposed. Once again, we have thought about how we can support this, and so we are incorporating more breathing exercises and at least one stillness exercise. A little break from the mental cinema, so to speak.
Sometimes Vera and I are pure "encouragers" during the children's difficult times. That can be very draining at times. That's why I felt so good today, to see that everything is getting through to the young people and that it's so important to continue to be there as a reliable point of contact.
One child's sentence that day in particular better explains what I mean: "Heike, can we play another round at home?"
Our meeting centre and rooms become the children's home."
