The uniquely designed heads were completed by the children at the Kids Treff with Silke Fröhlich.
Silke reports:
"Last time, everyone was given the task of preparing their head for an exhibition.
Everyone then had another look at their design and thought about a name, characteristics, origin and much more. The kids were a little hesitant at first, but when the first fantasy names rang out in the room and I asked the kids motivated me to think further in this direction, from then on it flowed of its own accord. Loving and creative
everyone designed their own info card for their head. These were then put up and everyone was allowed to visit the 'exhibition'. With my support, each lovingly designed unique piece was given the attention and applause that each artist deserved.
The creative work gives the children the opportunity not only to express themselves, but also to process what they have learnt. Sometimes this happens in silence and sometimes through contact and dialogue with each other.
Here, with my support, the kids were allowed to go to extremes, to overcome and come to terms with them, and to accept the other person. When I hear and observe that the kids praise, motivate and listen to each other, I realise how wonderful and important these meetings are
Thank you Fortuna Hilft e.V. for this opportunity by covering the costs and thank you to the St. Philippus & Jakobus family centre for making the premises available."
Thank you so much, dear Silke, for this wonderful collaboration.
The heads and the accompanying cards have turned out really great! You can really see how well the kids have got to grips with them.
