We received a message from a special angel from Ukraine, Juri. He sacrificially cares for the animals left behind on site.
He would like to tell us about the latest developments on the ground:
"I ordered food, but to be honest, the dogs weren't keen on it. That's why I started cooking Kraftbrei every day and mixing the food with it. The animals seem to like it. I'm hoping that Erika (our mediator) will soon find tasty food that the animals like.
I also successfully neutered four dogs and one cat in collaboration with the veterinary clinic. I transported all the animals to the clinic on a cargo bike. I also had some of the medication needed for the neutering in stock, so I didn't have to buy it separately.
We are very proud of Yuri and his tireless efforts on behalf of the animals in Ukraine. It is admirable how he works day after day for the welfare of the animals and is so creative and committed. Many thanks also to Petra Zipp and Erika for their support and their important role in this project. Together we can really make a difference and help the local animals. We look forward to continuing to hear about the progress and are grateful for any help and support we can offer.
