Having already been busy batiking and felting, the next item on the programme was fabric printing under expert guidance. The children brought their own T-shirts and fabrics - even jeans were embellished. They were able to decorate the textiles they had brought along to their heart's content: They experimented with textile pens, stencils, stamps and fabric paint. The production of their own stamp made from foam rubber and wooden blocks was carried out in a concentrated and well-considered manner and of course tried out straight away. Printing with a wide variety of things stimulates the imagination, supports fine motor skills and encourages the ability to visualise.
Designing your own item of clothing according to your personal preferences encourages self-efficacy and individuality: there is no other item like it!
