Thanksgiving: A creative afternoon at the Ahrweiler painting circus

"At this time of year, there is the tradition of Thanksgiving, i.e. gratitude for the fruits of the earth and the rich harvest from which we can feed ourselves throughout the winter.
The children focussed on the question of what personal harvest they can "reap" this year or what experiences, adventures or circumstances they are grateful for. For example, the children named their school achievements, their own pets, the circle of friends and much more.
After discussing these "fruits" and gifts of life in depth, the children began to potter them to fill their symbolic Thanksgiving basket. Everyone was very absorbed and enjoyed working with the clay.
Towards the end, we painted the resulting objects.
It was a very mindful and enjoyable course". - Viktoria
