"This course offered participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of traditional writing.
Under my guidance, the participants were able to explore and try out the various lines and characteristic traces of the quill.
We learnt how tedious it is to write without ink eraser and automatically replenishing ink: the repeated dipping into the ink filled the time of rest: the slowness of the line.
In addition to the quills, we had various drawing and writing nibs at our disposal to get a feel for the technique of calligraphy and drawing." - Steffi Raths
