"What a wonderful afternoon! The children sit on cushions in the warm painting circus wagon, full of anticipation for the appearance of St Nicholas.
To get us in the mood, we sing a few St Nicholas songs together before the door finally opens and St Nicholas enters the painting circus.
He reads from his golden book and tells us in a deep, calm voice that his little angels have told him sooo many good things about the children at the painting circus. They are very helpful and would even like to share their sweets with each other. And they would also know exactly how best to avoid conflicts and arguments. That's right! By being friendly and respectful to each other.
The children listen spellbound to the following amusing story, in which everyone - including the parents - sings a Christmas carol at the desired point.
Of course, he also patiently answers all the children's questions: whether he really lives at the North Pole and whether his little angels are "ghosts" because you would never see them.
Then he reaches behind him, because he wouldn't be the real St Nicholas if he didn't also have lovingly packed bags for each child from his helper*angel Rebecca.
Accompanied by another St Nicholas song, he then leaves again, as he is visiting lots of other children that evening. Goodbye, dear St Nicholas!
We are looking forward to next year and hope that you will visit us again.
We all want to be good too"!
