"As soon as the children arrived, it was clear that they really liked the theme and they were really looking forward to being able to express themselves freely and as they wished without any further guidelines.
Looking at the box with the utensils for the ever-popular "tingling", everyone wanted to get started straight away and put cats, kangaroos and hearts on paper, before patiently cutting them out with a needle - in other words, tingling.
And when I asked what exactly was so beautiful about painting, I got very different answers:
"The nice thing is to always open and close the pens!" 
- "I like letting my imagination out and.... well, I just like it... I can distract myself too!" - "I can then colour something in and colour it in." Or: "... because you draw something on and colour it in with lots of colours and then it looks nice!"

And because the children had worked so patiently and quietly with the painting and tingling, they had to get moving again.
The carnival songs, still well in our ears, were danced and sung a lot and full of vigour. A wonderful afternoon! And who would be surprised if we were asked if we could organise the afternoon in exactly the same way again? Yes! Right next week for our next "Free Painting and Design" course.
