"The painting circus was delighted to receive a visit from the Maxi group from the Sausewind Ramersbach municipal kindergarten. It was the first time for the children and they were full of anticipation about what there is to discover here.
During a short tour of the three circus wagons, the young visitors listened attentively and asked curious questions: "Did people really live here?" or "How can the wagons drive?" All their questions were patiently answered.
Steffi and I then introduced the group to the "Simply Blue" technique. The children were enthusiastic and eagerly set to work: the royal blue ink was used to colour papers, which were then finished off with a "magic pen". For many of the children, this was their first encounter with ink and ink eraser, which made the experience even more exciting.
The technique itself is simple and yet fascinating: the calm movement of the ink application has a calming effect and the ink eraser playfully creates wonderful works of art. While your hands are busy being creative, your mind is at rest. Marvelling at the resulting patterns and effects not only encourages imagination and mindfulness, but also creates moments of centring and relaxation. The idea of not adding something but creating something new by removing ink is particularly beautiful - an invitation for everyone to join in.
Finally, a joint work was created from the favourite pictures and framed - a valuable memento of this special afternoon. It was a lot of fun, it's great that you were there!"
