What an unforgettable drumming workshop with Pen & Ingrid Cayetano!
With a lot of heart, rhythm and joie de vivre, they took us into the colourful world of the Garifuna culture - and made us tap, drum and smile along.
The drumming workshop brought a real Caribbean feel to our neighbourhood: rousing rhythms, exciting insights into the Belizean way of life and lots of good humour characterised the week. Whether children or adults - everyone took part enthusiastically!
In addition to musical skills, cultural knowledge was also shared - including little anecdotes about Belize, the construction of handmade drums and the diversity of the communities living there.
Our special highlights:
It was a great pleasure to see the spontaneous participation of passers-by in the workshop - some very nice moments were created, it was great that you took part! A big thank you also goes to our wonderful guests: the lovely Birgit Kuhley from Children's aid organisation Global-Care Foundation and Marion von zur Gathen from The Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband - General Association did not miss the opportunity to visit us.
How nice that you also let yourselves be infected and carried away by the rhythm!
Your support means a lot to us - thank you for being there!

A week full of music, fellowship and joie de vivre lies behind us - and we are grateful for every minute! Thanks to Pen & Ingrid Cayetano and everyone who was there. We hope to see you again and enjoy many more rhythmic moments!
Many thanks also to our dear Malzikus & ZuvAHRsichts team around Natalie Reuscher and Bianca Ferber for the great realisation.
