„Ironing beads are only for children? Our senior citizens' group from the Ahrweiler meeting café impressively proves the opposite! Under the guidance of Rita Herschbach and myself the group ventured into a very special material: beautiful tea light holders were created from air-drying clay, which was then imaginatively decorated with iron-on beads. 
Working with clay is far more than just a creative pleasure - shaping, pressing and modelling activates fine motor skills, promotes concentration and gives a deep sense of self-efficacy. The clay reacts directly to every touch - immediate feedback that not only stimulates the senses but also boosts self-confidence.
The group not only creates small works of art, but also moments of togetherness. Creating together creates space for sharing, laughter and memories. The colourful iron-on beads add cheerful accents and make the works shine in new splendour - a symbol of the creativity and vitality that can be found in every age."
