Heart project Soccer Court - Family festival in Oberhausen

Our family festival on the village square around the new soccer court was a complete success - young and old celebrated, played and laughed together.

Thanks to Global Care, we were able to set up the soccer court a few weeks ago - and a big thank you goes to the Oberhausen Citizens' Association, which took over the organisation and set-up on site and did a wonderful job.

The children were finally able to inaugurate the site properly. In addition to exciting games such as can throwing, duck fishing, goal wall shooting and the hot wire, the fire brigade and THW organised exciting hands-on activities. The civic association also organised a great raffle, and colourful dreams came true with face painting for children and the Oldtimer Club delighted visitors with tours in genuine classic cars.

Of course, we also catered for everyone's physical well-being - and our waffles on a stick were, as always, an absolute hit.

A huge thank you to all the clubs, helpers and volunteers who put their heart and soul into the event. We would especially like to thank Global Care for their support with the Soccer Court as well as the town of Schleiden and Mayor Ingo Pfennings, who officially opened the pitch a few weeks ago and also celebrated with us on Sunday. Without all of you, this wonderful festival would not have been possible.

A day full of fellowship, joy and smiles - simply unforgettable!
