"In the painting circus, the long work table was quickly declared a large construction site.
First, each child formed a small bowl with a lid out of a clay ball, and then made a small bowl out of which then became its own little house with windows, doors and even furniture.
Then it was time to design your own garden or other houses, towers, stairs and slides, for example.
Each child marked the boundary of their house with a fence, wall or hedge. There were no limits to their imagination: A network of paths stretching across the entire table created connections to the neighbourhood.
The village squares were given a pond with ducks, benches, lanterns and a currywurst/ice-cream stand.
Wonderful - everyone was allowed to realise their dreams here. Attractions such as a luxury hotel and a viewing tower were created. Time flew by. At the end of the game, we looked at our work and ushered in the highlight, the city lights festival. The shutters of the painting circus darkened the room a little and many lights were placed in the clay city.
The wonderful, cosy atmosphere was the crowning glory of the Clay Story, which we all enjoyed. As a little memento, each child received a Polaroid of their illuminated building.
At the end, we said goodbye to the city together and the children turned the clay back into one big lump."
