For many participants, working with texture paste was a new experience. The coarse paste can be applied pure or mixed with acrylic paint. The aim is not to achieve a perfect result, but to try things out and let go. What looks easy at first quickly reveals its peculiarities: The paste is not easy to control and takes a bit of practice. There was a lot of experimentation - some things worked, others were discarded. This is exactly what made the course lively and open.
Working with the paste was reassuring and liberating for many people. You could switch off your head and just get on with it. The haptics played a particularly important role: the grainy, sometimes rough surface invites you to feel it. When you apply it, you can feel the resistance, the movement, your own strength - the material reacts directly to your hand. This creates closeness to your own actions and allows you to be fully in the moment.
There was a lovely, relaxed atmosphere in the group. We laughed, created and marvelled together. Many said: "This is very relaxing!" or "This is really fun and there are so many possibilities!" The works created were just as diverse as the people who made them - raw, playful, powerful or very delicate.
In the end, everyone agreed that this creative break was a good thing - and should be repeated."
