"There was a lot of weaving in the painting circus!
Using very simple materials - cardboard, wool and old T-shirts - colourful little bags were created. Dhe children focussed on trying things out, knotting and weaving until the weaving frames were "full". Then came the magic moment: the fabric was pulled off the cardboard - and poof, the bag was finished! Anyone who wanted to could add a fastener or a shoulder strap. Finally, everyone proudly held their unique bags in their hands.
Weaving is not only fun, but also has a really calming and meditative effect. Working together on a project creates a cosy, happy atmosphere, and seeing how something great is created from old T-shirts, wool scraps and cardboard gives a wonderful feeling of self-efficacy. At the same time, motor skills and dexterity are trained - creatively, colourfully and full of joy!"
