On Saturday, we celebrated the opening of our new Malzirkus location at Peter-Friedhofen-Straße 2 in Ahrweiler together with many guests, both young and old – and what a wonderful day it was!
Under the loving guidance of Bianca Ferber, our Malzirkus wagons opened their doors and provided touching insights into the creative and healing work that has been done here since the flood disaster. One visitor put it so aptly:
„For my children, the Malzirkus is as much a part of Ahrweiler as family.“
With lots of heart and colour, Steffi Raths and Sarah Uessem invited everyone to join in – batik, screen printing, painting bags – pure creativity!
Sandra Krämer also conjured up many happy faces with her face painting for children.
Of course, refreshments were also provided: coffee, cake and vegan waffles on sticks – lovingly prepared by Klaudia Skodnik and Natalie Reuscher – sparked many wonderful conversations. A big thank you also goes to all our neighbours, who created a particularly warm atmosphere with their homemade cakes.

A particular highlight was Katja Blumenthal with her inspiring Lion training Katja Blumenthal on resilience and moral courage – and her wheel of fortune, which brought a sparkle to many eyes.
The day was all about transparency, exchange and creativity – and once again demonstrated what makes Malzirkus so special: it is a place where people meet, draw strength and create something new together.
Thank you to everyone who celebrated this day with us.
