Mindfulness in motion

Recently, it was time to say goodbye to the summer meadow. Before Heike's therapy horses move into their winter quarters, they are lovingly groomed by the children - tails shortened, manes freed from split ends and each animal made really beautiful once again.

For many children, this means more than just grooming: They take responsibility, show attentiveness and sometimes have to show courage when the scissors are allowed on the long tail or the horse gets restless. This is precisely where the power of animal-assisted therapy comes into play - trust, self-efficacy and genuine co-operation are created through joint action.

At the end, every child received a souvenir photo - „just like Heidi on TV“
