First, each child decorated their own St. Nicholas bag. They painted and decorated them enthusiastically and talked excitedly about what they wanted from St. Nicholas or the Christ Child.
Soon everyone noticed that something was stirring outside, and they heard the soft ringing of a bell. Excitedly, they all looked outside, and there he was – Father Christmas! 
On the terrace of the other circus wagon, he shouted „Hohoho“. Slowly and rather reverently, even in awe of the grand appearance of St. Nicholas and his staff, the children followed him into the circus wagon. There, each of them received a filled sack and – what a surprise! The treats were packed in their own handmade St. Nicholas bags. How did he do that? 
And because St. Nicholas is always well informed, he had something to say about every child. It came as no surprise to us carers when he remarked that our Malzirkus children were particularly friendly and kind. We know that! But it's nice that this information has also reached the well-travelled St. Nicholas. 
He then read them a lovely Christmas story and had a few long chats with the children. Oh, what a wonderful Saturday it was, and we all – the Malzirkus team and the children – are delighted that Father Christmas was able to visit us again this year. Take care! And see you next year – hopefully!“
