Third Advent - A moment of mindfulness
The third Advent invites us to pause for a moment and look at our world with an open heart. At this special time of year, when silence and cold are approaching, we must not forget how valuable mindfulness is in our dealings with each other - and with all living beings.
Animals need our consideration right now. Wild animals are looking for peace and protection, and any unnecessary noise drains their energy, which they urgently need to survive. New Year's Eve is also approaching - a celebration that brings joy to many people, but causes stress and fear for many animals. Perhaps this year we can celebrate more consciously: more quietly, more lovingly, more considerately.
Let us give warmth - in our encounters, in our interactions and in our dealings with the creatures that share this world with us. Every little mindful moment counts.
We wish you a light-filled, peaceful third Advent.
