Habitat agricultural landscape

Today is National Bird Day. 🐦
This year, the focus is on the grey partridge, a charming field dweller that needs our special attention because its habitats are threatened.
Do you recognise its cheerful „Kirrik-kirrik”? The grey partridge used to be a natural companion in our fields. Today it is highly endangered and urgently needs our protection.
It loves colourful, structurally rich agricultural landscapes with hedges, flower strips and plenty of insects. But it is precisely this diversity that is being lost in many places: intensive farming, pesticides and cleared fields make it difficult for the animal.
The good news is that if we create more diversity in agriculture, we can give the grey partridge - and many other species - a future again.
Let's use the National Bird Day to take a look, provide information and take responsibility together!
Together we can achieve so much more! 🧡
