How to get them through the winter

Snow enchants us anew every year ❄️ But winter also brings a few challenges for our beloved four-legged friends. So that you can enjoy the cold season together, we have put together a few helpful tips for you.
🐶 Dogs in winter
❄️ Protect paws: Road salt and ice can cause painful cracks. Rinse paws with lukewarm water after every walk.
🧴 Paw care: If necessary, paw balm protects against dehydration.
🧥 Protection from the cold: Small, old or short-haired dogs get cold more quickly - a coat can be useful.
🕒 Adapt your walks: It's better to do several short laps instead of one long one in extreme frost.
🐱 Cats in winter
🏠 Let them in at night: Many cats look for warm places and get into danger (e.g. cars, machines).
🚗 Car check: Knock briefly on the bonnet before driving off - cats seek shelter from the cold there.
🍲 More energy requirements: Cats consume more energy in winter - a little more food can help.
🧂 Avoid road salt - for the sake of animals and nature
Road salt damages paws and plants and gets into the groundwater.
👉 Better: use sand, chippings or blunting agents.
🤍 Animal welfare starts on your own doorstep
You can prevent a lot of suffering with small measures - for pets and wild animals.
📣 Please share so that more animals can get through the winter safely.
