„One hour showed once again how powerful creative work can be for children. An eight-year-old boy arrived quietly, quickly found his concentration and immersed himself completely in his own world of images.
His theme: ski slopes and winter sports. Inspired by the skiing competitions at the Olympic Games, he put dynamic scenes on paper - curved slopes, small figures in motion, excitement and speed. It was particularly beautiful to observe how he gradually approached three-dimensionality. Lines became spaces, surfaces became landscapes.
He worked with a pencil with great seriousness and dedication - quietly, precisely and with the ability to make corrections. The quiet atmosphere gave him the protected space to organise his inner impressions and bring them into a clear structure.
A fire engine he had started earlier was allowed to wait today. He quite naturally decided in favour of what really moved him at the moment. A sign of self-determination and inner clarity.
The shared silence during the work was particularly touching - characterised by trust and security. Space for your own pace. Space for your own topics.
Art therapy is not just about „painting“.
It is a process of growing, processing and discovering new skills.
Every line tells a story.“ - Steffi Raths
Thank you very much, dear Steffi.
