„The children also created beautiful spring decorations from casting powder in the painting circus.
Great decorative objects were created from various moulds. Mixing the mixture was a new experience for the children and reminded them a little of mum's waffle batter.
The moment when the mass suddenly became warm as it hardened was particularly exciting - a small chemical process that the children were curious to feel with their hands. This direct feeling of the material made the working process particularly lively. Once the figures were solid, they could be easily removed from the moulds. The smooth surfaces were first felt extensively before the colours came into play. Colourful flowers, butterflies, beetles and even a small family of rabbits were created during the painting process.
Casting and modelling not only promotes children's fine motor skills and concentration, but also offers a haptic experience that has a calming effect and enables a deeper understanding of different materials. The combination of creative expression and tactile experience helps to calm the mind and develop a sense of satisfaction and self-efficacy.
With the colourful results, the children take home joy, pride and a touch of spring.“
