„In the painting circus, we designed Easter eggs and small pendants using dot painting (dotting). Many small dots were used to create patterns that gradually developed into colourful motifs.
Some children brought their own eggs, others used the materials provided. Working with the dotting tool was a little unfamiliar at first: the right amount of colour, the right pressure and a calm rhythm had to be established. However, with a little practice, it got better and better. Each child discovered their own style and the results were correspondingly varied.
In between, we started to look forward to Easter: We talked about why eggs in particular are part of this celebration - about their significance as a symbol of fertility and new beginnings.
At the end, everyone went home with their painted eggs and even more anticipation for Easter.“
