The last few weeks at Malzirkus Ahrweiler have also focussed on digital safety and how children can use the internet safely. 
The dear Lion training Katja Blumenthal, who many people already know from her fantastic lion training sessions, reports on her course:
The dear Lion training Katja Blumenthal, who many people already know from her fantastic lion training sessions, reports on her course:„Five children have successfully obtained their media driving licence. In several units, they dealt intensively with important topics relating to the safe use of digital media. 
Topics included how to create a secure password, which personal data should be protected on the internet and what children need to be aware of when using apps, games and social networks. Topics such as data protection, cyberbullying and cybercrime were also explained in an age-appropriate way and discussed together. 
In addition to imparting knowledge, the main focus was on active participation: the children worked creatively, exchanged ideas and reflected on their own experiences. Learning was supported by illustrative examples and short film sequences, which provided many aha moments.“ 
The great commitment of the children showed how important this topic is. At the end, all participants were proud to receive their media driving licence.
