„Our crochet course for children and beginners took place on several dates last month - and it was wonderful to see how, step by step, not only new skills but also self-confidence developed. 
Together, we got off to a quiet start: we talked about all the things you can crochet, explored the materials and immersed ourselves in a colourful world of wool and needles. With patience and curiosity, the children learnt how to hold the crochet hook, form an initial loop and crochet their first chain stitches. It wasn't so easy at first - sometimes fingers seemed to be missing, then they seemed to be in the way again. But this was an important learning moment: stick with it, try it out, give yourself time. 
With each lesson, not only did the „air stitch worms“ grow, but so did the joy of what they were doing. The first attempts resulted in small creations such as hair elastic jewellery, bracelets and even initial ideas for rings. The children were able to experience how concentration, practice and a little patience can result in something of their own - a process that has a strengthening effect.
The pride with which the finished pieces were worn and presented was particularly beautiful. The dialogue with each other became more lively from time to time, and the anticipation of further learning is great. 
An all-round successful course that showed: Crocheting is not just needlework, but also a path to calm, focus and self-efficacy.“
