„In the creative workshop of the painting circus, the children secretly crafted for Mother's Day. The children designed a heart picture, which was created step by step: first the background was painted in bright colours, then the picture was given a matching frame - preferably in mum's favourite colours.
The centrepiece was a large heart made of colourful woollen threads. It was diligently wound and marvelled at. „It feels really fluffy,“ said the children as the heart slowly took shape.
In between, they talked about other Mother's Day surprises from school. One child said with a laugh: „I hope mum doesn't find my hiding place.“ We also talked about Father's Day - and about the fact that some parents live apart. Moments like these often create a special closeness: The children realise that they are not alone with such things and that they can talk to each other. That often has a very relieving effect.
Finally, we decorated, wrote and embellished. This resulted in lovely heart pictures - each one a little gift full of imagination and warmth.“
