Workshop: „Papier-mâché bees“
It’s hard to believe what charming little bees have been created from just a few simple materials.

With great patience, the children, under the guidance of Barbara Henschke, stuck several layers of paper around a small balloon. This required a great deal of dexterity and perseverance.
Once they had dried, the bees were decorated with stripes, wings, googly eyes and pipe cleaners for stings. The children were able to give free rein to their creativity.
Pasting, cutting out and sticking helped to develop fine motor skills and imagination.
In a relaxed atmosphere, conversations arose about people’s own experiences with bees and the importance of these little creatures to us humans.
At the end, the little bees did a few more flying exercises and gathered for a photo shoot in the garden of the Malzirkus.
Afterwards, the children were able to fly home proudly with the bees they had made themselves.
Thank you very much, Barbara!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Children's aid organisation Global-Care Foundation and Aktion Deutschland Hilft for your kind support!
