In order to face the challenges of everyday life – conflicts, bullying, uncertainties or fears – children need safe places where they can gain confidence, try things out and get in touch with their feelings. Our painting circus and animal-assisted therapy programmes create exactly such spaces.

Thanks to your sponsorship, children here experience moments of relief – and blossoming.

Painting circus

At Malzirkus, they discover creative forms of expression that help them release inner tensions, find words and develop self-confidence. Colours, shapes and stories open doors that enable children to visualise their thoughts and take their place in the world with greater courage.

Animal-assisted therapy

In animal-assisted therapy, they encounter sensitive animal partners who give them a very special way of accessing their inner selves. Through contact with animals, many children are able to feel trust again for the first time, allow closeness and recognise their own boundaries. These experiences have a lasting effect on strengthening their emotional balance.

Why do children need your support?

Everything was swept away by the flood. Children had to watch as people and animals perished in the masses of water. They have witnessed so much suffering and tragic situations that can be extremely stressful for a young child's soul.

It is important to support the children in dealing with the terrible flood experiences and coming to terms with what they have been through.

The painting circus offers a space in which the children can be themselves and deal with their fears and feelings under guidance.
