The painting circus: creative ways of dealing with stressful experiences - accompanied with love
Our painting circus offers children and young people the opportunity to deal creatively with their stressful experiences during and after the flood disaster or the war in Ukraine. They are lovingly accompanied by our team. Children in particular often find it difficult to put their feelings and fears into words. With the help of various media, the children can freely decide how they want to create something and paint what moves them. Through sensitive and attentive communication, the painting circus team supports the children and young people in expressing their feelings and dealing with them gently.
In addition, the painting circus regularly organises open activity and theme days with creative activities, on which a colourful programme takes place for the children. Here we encourage the children involved to socialise with each other and encourage creative learning and exchange.

What is art therapy?
Art therapy is a form of therapy that uses artistic means to gain access to thoughts and feelings. Using a wide variety of materials such as pencils, paper, brushes and canvas, children and young people can become creatively active under guidance and deal with their own issues. This allows inner processes to be visualised, worked on and developed further. Art therapy can discover resources, develop strategies and strengthen self-healing powers. It can be offered in an individual or group setting and is based on various therapeutic approaches. A variety of artistic methods are available to meet the individual needs of your child.
The offer is aimed at:
Children and young people who are helped to overcome verbal blocks through creative work in order to work on their individual issues. The focus is on traumatised children, adolescents and young adults in the flood area
